Peer Review Policy

Margalla Papers is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal obtaining advice on individual manuscripts from the reviewer(s)/ expert(s) in the field (national and foreign) who are not part of the journal's editorial board or the publishing institute as per Higher Education of Pakistan (HEC) Journals and Publications Policy. Reviewer(s) is expected to follow the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewer(s).

After an initial assessment by the editorial team of Margalla Papers, qualified research papers are submitted to reviewer(s) of the relevant research areas to determine the work's originality, validity and significance for the final selection of a manuscript to be published in Margalla Papers. Reviewer(s) is asked to evaluate the quality of the manuscript and to provide a recommendation to the editor(s) on whether a manuscript can be accepted, requires revisions, or should be rejected. Reviewer(s) is also appreciated to inform if holding a conflict of interest that may prejudice the review report, either positively or negatively. Reviewer(s) is also expected to provide a review report(s) on time and should contact the editor(s) if he/ she requires an extension to the review deadline. 

Important: Reviewer(s) should keep the manuscript's content confidential. No information about the author(s) is made available to the reviewer(s) during the process. Similarly, the name(s) of the reviewer(s) is not disclosed to the author(s).
